Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information slambook collects, why, and how it’s used. It covers both account holders (couples) and guests who upload to a gallery.

What we collect

From account holders (couples), when you sign up and set up a gallery:

• Email address and password (used only for account login)
• Bride and groom names, wedding date, venue, and chosen theme
• Cover photos you upload for the gallery
• Your chosen plan and payment reference details

From guests, when they upload to a gallery:

• The photo itself
• An optional name they choose to enter — no account or login is required

How we use it

To operate the gallery you’ve paid for or signed up for: store and display photos, enforce plan limits (photo count, storage, expiry), generate your QR code, and email you about your account — including a warning before a free-tier gallery is deleted, and (once configured) payment or activation confirmations. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run slambook, who process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and photo storage.
• Resend — sends transactional emails (e.g. gallery-expiry warnings) on our behalf.
• A payment processor, for handling payment collection and verification where applicable.

We don’t share your data with anyone else, except where required by law.

How long we keep it

Free-tier galleries are deleted (photos and all) a set number of days after expiry, following an email warning — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy and dashboard for the current timeline. Paid galleries are kept for the duration of the active plan; you can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account data and any gallery you own at any time — email us and we’ll act on it promptly. Guests who want a specific photo removed from a gallery can ask the account holder (who controls the gallery) or contact us directly.

Children

slambook is intended for adults setting up wedding galleries. Guest-uploaded photos may incidentally include children present at an event, but the service is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect account information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
